Audit your Participation
PROJECT

After one year since ReSECT started, one of ReSECT’s strategies will focus on recognising, firmly, the work of centres and professionals committed to the evolution of the project.

This recognition will entail different types of benefits, which will be associated with participation metrics capable of objectively translating the performance of each service and user.

For the construction of these metrics, we need to know each care context based on the volume of major lung resections, lobectomies and pneumonectomies performed annually in your centre. In other words, we basically only need to know this annual figure, which will also be the main audit parameter for each service in ReSECT.

Although ReSECT considers segmentectomies within its process of anatomical lung resections, the reason for not including this procedure for the purposes of care volume is the absence of a specific code for it in the International Classification of Diseases ICD-10.

The audit process should involve the collaboration of the Clinical Documentation Service of your centre.
